Town of Sylvania City Council Meeting Minutes June 9, 2009 Regular Council Meeting was held in the Sylvania court room of the Sylvania City Hall at 6:00 p. Mayor Dendy called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Mayor Dendy led the prayer. Mayor Dendy led the Pledge of allegiance. Mayor Dendy welcomed all guest. Mayor Dendy requested a motion to disperse the reading of the minutes from the May 26, 2009 Council Meeting. A motion was made to disperse the reading by Councilman Phillips, seconded by Councilman Goolesby and passed unanimously. Attendance: Mayor Dendy Councilman Turner Councilman Phillips Councilman Goolesby Councilman Miller Councilman Owens Old Business: Mayor discussed the Transfer station. Attorney Shaunathan Bell stated that the station should be returned to Sylvania this week, a meeting and signing the land back over will take place the 10th. Mayor told the council to discuss Resolution 09-0502 a resolution commending the Sylvania Rams Baseball Team. Councilman Goolesby made a motion to adopt the Resolution, Councilman Miller seconded. Mayor called for any further discussion. Councilman Goolesby stated you have all done a good job. Mayor Dendy stated we are proud of you all and further stated that this is a building block for the rest of your lives as you have learned many things it is those taught through sports, team work, dedication and hard work that will help you in what ever you decide to do in your lives.
