The Sylvania Volunteer Fire Department received a donation for fire truck repairs from Wal-Mart of Fort Payne. Councilman Max Turner stated that Wal-Mart stepped in and donated the money to cover the entire cost of repair. Councilman Turner presented the check to Fire Chief Daryl Lester, the donation of $1500.00 will be used for repairing the main pump on Engine 1; the pump’s main seal has been leaking by reducing the pumps efficiency.
