New Backhoe to help in completing long overdue projects

Sylvania Public Works Department receives OK to purchase new backhoe, through bidding process. On January 27th the Sylvania council opened bids submitted and voted to purchase the new John Deere 110 backhoe for $34,200.00 under the John Deere Government purchase program.

Sylvania Public Works is headed up by Mark Wilbanks, pictured below with Councilman Max Turner and the Backhoe. Mark is ready to hit the road and begin repairs on culverts and drainage ditches throughout Sylvania, he is also preparing and training for sewer repair jobs, when the warranty time elapses.
